A DAY of free, family fun, golf sessions will be on offer for visitors to Pitcheroak Golf Club this Sunday (May 14).
There will be golf taster sessions, free use of the driving range and golf course (conditions apply) and membership offers from just £20. Visitors can also take part in free crazy and long hole putting competitions as well as free, par 3, mini golf from 12noon to 3pm.
Pitcheroak’s resident PGA golf professional Chris Stanley will be on hand on the day to guide potential new players that want to try the game.
“Everyone’s welcome to come and join us at the free open day, to try out the driving range, test their mini golf skills and much more,” he said.
“There’s something for everyone whether you’re six years old or 60+ years old. Redditch is very lucky to have such a brilliant facility available, so come along, try something new and support your local golf course.”
Food will be available on the day until 3pm in the Bunker Bar and restaurant.
Visitors can register at the Golf Shop to take part in the activities on the day from 10am until 3pm.
The event runs from 10am to 3pm at Pitcheroak Golf Course, Plymouth Road, Redditch B97 4PB.

Like the course itself, the driving range at Pitcheroak is a public facility open to anyone that wants to turn up and play. No membership is necessary.
Pitcheroak Golf Course was established in 1913 around a design by James Braid, who designed British Open courses including at Carnoustie and Gleneagles. It’s a highly-maintained and challenging mature course, which holds more than 40 regular competition events a year including junior par 3 tournaments, ‘get into golf’ sessions and tri golf festivals. Its golf services are managed for Redditch Borough Council by Chris Stanley. The course is also home to the popular Bunker Bar and Restaurant.
