A GREAT time was had by all at the latest Redditch bandstand event on Church Green last Saturday.
With hand crafted jewellery from the British Asian Women’s Group, Henna painting, table tennis with Batchley Support Group, Matchborough Scouts and much more there was plenty to see.
Not only that but a fabulous traditional Punch and Judy show kept youngsters and adults alike enthralled and brought the house down.
Sue Yeng, who helped organise the event said: “It was a lovely day and our thanks go to everyone who came along and all the contributors and of course the borough council events team.”
Also enjoying all the attractions was Councillor Bill Hartnett, the leader of Redditch Borough Council, who said: “We change the theme for each of the bandstand events and this one was children’s /sports themed with a great Punch and Judy show which children of all ages loved.
“It was a joy to see their faces and to hear them join in. It was a great day with lots of fun in the sun – ‘that’s the way to do it.'”
