A FABULOUS weekend was had by all when Forge Mill Needle Museum hosted a 1940s weekend.
Our photographer Marcus Mingins joined hundreds of people as they made tracks for the popular venue by the ancient Bordesley Abbey.
It gave an opportunity for people to step back in time, say hello to the re-enactors and find out more about life 80 years ago.
A period fish and chip van was also there to really turn back the clock and it did a roaring trade over the weekend.
The ever popular Redditch-based Indigo Arts provided suitable period music throughout the two days while their spin off, The Violettes together with local singer Helen Pearson, wowed the audience at a sell-out evening do on the Saturday night.
“It was the first time we had done an evening event like that and it was tremendously successful and by the end everyone was up and dancing it was so good,” said a spokeswoman.
