The Great Winyates Bake Off

THERE was not a soggy bottom in sight as residents rose to the occasion to take part in The Great Winyates Bake Off.

Inspired by the hit television show, members of the Winning Winyates team challenged residents to showcase their baking brilliance.

The free to enter contest took place at The Space in the district centre with Shelley Millward, baker and owner of Magicakes in Winyates Craft Centre judging the entries.

Resident Jackie Dawson had the honour of having baked the best tasting cake for her caramel and sea salt layer cake while the best decorated title went to Louise Hall, from Redditch Early Help for her creation themed around the grass events they are running during the summer holidays.
