The wedding planning will go on for intensive care nurse Keren

A WEDDING to remember remains on the cards for a devoted intensive care unit nurse at the Alex and Worcestershire Royal Hospital in spite of the daily heartache she faces on the front line.

The wedding industry, like many others has been decimated by the coronavirus crisis, leaving thousands of couples facing the prospect of cancelling or postponing one of the biggest days in their lives.

However one of those brides-to-be, Keren Long, is continuing to put plans in place thanks to a venue which is embracing the virtual world to help brides-to-be at a distressing time.

Manor Hill House in Upton Warren is supporting couples through virtual tours and Zoom planning meetings.

By making the best use of the time to continue to plan their dream wedding, the hotel aims to give a much-needed lift to both the happy couple and all the suppliers whose livelihoods depend on the industry.

“As an Intensive Care Nurse on the front line, I am well aware of the struggle we are facing right now,” Keren said.

“I can’t wait for my wedding at Manor Hill House next year. I’ll need even more of a party after this is all over.”

Manor Hill House owner Emma Moffett said: “When you’re planning your big dream wedding, no one foresees a worldwide pandemic to get in the way of the happiest day of your life.

“Obviously, it’s had a huge impact on our business but my heart really goes out to all the disappointed brides and bridegrooms.”

“We’re honoured to have bride-to-be Keren getting married here at Manor Hill House next year and want to make it even more special for her, to thank her for all the amazing work she is doing to help save the lives of coronavirus patients at the Alexandra Hospital and Worcestershire Royal Hospital.”
