THERE is one house in Abbeydale which Father Christmas simply cannot miss this Christmas Eve.
For decades Barbara Jones, aged 65, has decorated her home from top to bottom in Christmas lights.
But after moving into a bungalow on Johnson Close, Barbara has also been able to set up her own magical garden display.
She has filled her front lawn with inflatable Christmas characters including elves and snowmen.
Barbara’s daughter Melissa Wood said: “It’s not been the best year for mum, so I’m very proud of her for finding the energy add festive cheer to the area again.
“So many people, from all over, have stopped by to have a look. It has been really touching. “
Barbara is also collecting money for the Primrose Hospice, a charity close to her heart, and has put a charity box at the end of her drive for people to donate in. The final amount will be counted in the new year.
