APPLE-related fun will be at the core of another orchard event on Headless Cross Green, as the annual ‘Apple Day’ returns.

Organisers say there will be dozens of stalls for visitors to enjoy celebrating all-things-apple plus different types of meat and honey.

Live music will be provided by local 80s tribute ukulele band ‘Uke Men League’ and the French horn ensemble ‘Hornymental’.

Orchard volunteer Gabby Hemming, said: “After such a wonderful summer we’re planning for a bumper harvest, where visitors to Apple Day can expect an abundance of activities.

“Families will love our juicing stall, or if you’re a budding cider-maker you can bring a bottle of your homebrew to be judged in the cider contest.”

Children can look forward to having their face painted and playing on the ‘Amazing Human Fruit Machine’.

The events runs from 11am until 3pm on October 6.
