REDDITCH’S fantastic Repair Cafe will be open and running this Saturday, April 30 where a top team of experts will be on hand to breath new life into your broken or damaged possessions.
The concept of the Repair Cafe is simple – a team of volunteers ranging from people skilled in everything from woodworking to electrics, mechanics, ceramics, computers, bicycles, sewing and basic jewellery repairs offer their services for free on the last Saturday of every month.
All people need to do is drop broken, damaged, ripped or torn items off between 10am and 1pm where they will be assessed.
If a repair is possible the item can be collected later, but before 2pm, or they can sit and relax and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and a slice of cake or a biscuit while they wait.
If something might take a little bit longer to fix, then that can be arranged too.
All repairs are carried out for free, although donations are always welcome.
It’s all happening at Community House on Easemore Road close to the town centre.
Ample car parking available behind the building.
