AN Alcester resident who woke to find three men breaking into her house may have a noisy neighbourhood cat to thank.
At around 2.45am on June 19, the resident, who lives in Roebuck Park in Alcester was woken by a noise and the sound of a cat screeching.
She looked out of her front window to see three men in dark clothing by her front bay window, directly below her.
One of the men was climbing in through the window and she called out to them.
Startled, all three men ran off quickly down the road before they could steal anything.
When she went downstairs to check the damage, she found the criminals had reached through a transom window to release the catch on the window.
