THIEVES have been out and about in Redditch stealing number plates from cars.
The plates are taken so they can be fixed to stolen vehicles making it easier for criminals to move them about the country.
Over the night of last Wednesday, January 17 in Millhill Road and Easenhall Lane, Matchborough, one number plate each from two vehicles were taken, registrations VO62 FJY and WM16 FXO.
In nearby Dolben Lane, Winyates, the rear number plate was taken from a car, registration Y558OHL.
This was reported on January 17 but the day before in the same road the rear number plate was taken from a second vehicle, registration FT03 LOJ.
Also on the 16th, this time in Goosehill Close, Matchborough, the rear number plate VK61 GUC was taken.
Meanwhile over the night of Sunday, January 14, the front number plate of a car, registration FP62 WZU was taken from a car in Claybrook Drive, Matchborough.
