A LOT of people are busy over Easter but it’s important to take a little time to ensure you’re prepared if you, or someone you know, becomes injured or unwell.
Over the weekend some NHS services, including GP surgeries and pharmacies will be closed, or have reduced opening hours, until Tuesday morning (April 18) so it’s important to get organised.
Many minor complaints such as coughs and colds can be treated by staying at home, getting plenty of rest and making sure you have a well-stocked medicine cabinet.
If you need medical help and advice during this time, a number of services are available: NHS 111 is available for any health related issue that’s not a 999 emergency and this service is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. This can include arranging an out-of-hours GP appointment.
The Minor Injury Unit in Bromsgrove is also available for minor conditions and injuries such as cuts, sprains and minor burns. Visit http://bit.ly/2p8dgnZ
