FIREARMS officers were deployed in Redditch on Wednesday, May 6, following a robbery where the victim suffered severe head injuries.
Officers from the Operational Police Unit located and arrested three suspects and the incident was brought to a safe conclusion.
As of today, Thursday, the three were still in custody.
The incident happened at around 5.40pm when police were called to Winslow Close in Winyates to reports that a man had been attacked and suffered serious head injuries.
He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
Firearms officers arrested three men from Redditch, a 21-year-old, 32-year-old and 25-year-old, on Other Road near the town centre.
