MORE than a dozen firefighters were called to tackle a blaze at a Redditch metal scrapyard over the weekend.
Three crews from Redditch attended the site off Hewell Road at Enfield Industrial Estate, just after 3am on Saturday (February 18).
A number of scrap vehicles in the yard and waste materials had caught alight but no one was injured and no property was damaged.
Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “All three Redditch trucks attended and crews worked hard through the night to extinguish the fire.”
