FIRE crews were swiftly on the scene after fire broke out shortly after 2pm on Monday, August 15, in Pig Trot Lane, Danzey Green, near Redditch.
The blaze happened on a hot day just before days before the heatwave ended.
Three appliances from Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Rescue Service were sent and on arrival found a refuse fire approx 30m by 30m in size.
Crews worked to extinguish the blaze, which consisted of private and commercial waste.
They were at the scene until approximately 9pm that evening.
