BIG-HEARTED walkers stepped out around Arrow Valley Park for the charity Aid to the Church in Need last Sunday (July 24).
Organised by the parish of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Redditch the 5km event, now in its second year, saw nearly twice as many walkers taking part and bright sunny weather too compared to last year’s downpour.
The walk gave an opportunity to catch up with friends, meet new people and reflect on the sufferings of Christians persecuted for their faith around the world.
Following the walk, the group enjoyed refreshments in the parish gardens, with everyone feeling that they had contributed to a very worthwhile cause: so far over £1,000 has been pledged for the charity.
