Times for Round Table Santa Sleigh as he makes his way to Redditch

REDDITCH Round Table members have been busy brushing down the reindeers and readying the famous red suit for Father Christmas to make his way across the borough this December.

The world’s largest men’s only voluntary club is inviting families across the town to see Santa.

Santa will start his tour of the borough today (Friday, December 5), visiting Astwood Bank and tomorrow (Saturday), he will be in Greenlands and Lodge Park.

Next up, the sleigh will travel to Callow Hill Community Centre, Abbeydale, Riverside and Abbey Stadium Estates on Sunday, December 7, and to Winyates West and Ipsley December 8.

On December 9, Father Christmas heads to Winyates Green, on December 10 he will be in Woodrow and on December 11 at Morrisons and Matchborough East.

Matchborough West will get its first Santa visit on December 12 and he will then to to Crabbs Cross on December 13. He will be in South Oakenshaw on December 14.

Father Christmas’ next destination on December 15 will be Winyates East, on December 16 he will journey to Chruch Hill South and Wharrad Close and visit Headless Cross on December 17.

Brockhill North will be visited next on December 18, with  Batchley and Brockhill South on December 19.

Then, with five days to go until the big day, Father Christmas will be in Webheath on December 20 for his final visit.

Table chairman Paul Marsh said:  “We’re buzzing for this year’s sleigh run – last Christmas you incredible lot helped us raise thousands for local good causes and, whilst it’s never been about the money raised, we’re absolutely aiming to smash that total again.

“The support we get from the community is unreal and we can’t wait to see everyone out on the routes.

“This is our 45th year running the Redditch Santa Sleigh – a proper local tradition now – and it just gets bigger, brighter and jollier every single year.

“Our previous Santa sleighs have helped us raise much-needed funds for local charities and we are keen to continue to show our support and this year do even more.

“We can’t wait to see all the community.”
