Top detective author Linda Mather to visit 'library next door'

THE author of the Jo Hughes detective series, Linda Mather, is to visit Bromsgrove Library on February 4 for an exclusive book signing event.

It also promises to be the perfect opportunity to speak to the creator of the astrologer detective herself.

Councillor Matt Dormer, who, as well being Leader of Redditch Borough Council is also the county’s cabinet member with responsibility for communities, said: “It is great to once again be able to welcome authors into Worcestershire Libraries.

Author Linda Mather.

“We really have missed author visits during the pandemic and there’s no better way to find out about a story than from the author themselves, so we’re really looking forward to meeting Linda in February.”

Light refreshments will be provided and there are plenty of fingers crossed that the former Private Investigator may reveal some secrets ahead of her upcoming fifth novel.

Linda’s latest book will add to her collection which alongside the Jo Hughes series also features: Forecast Murder, A Sign For Murder, Murder as Predicted, and the Hanged Man.

To book tickets, call 01905 822722 or speak to a member of library staff.
