STAFF and pupils at Studley High School after once again being rated as ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted inspectors.

Inspectors visited the school on June 6 and confirmed the rating this week.

It means the Crooks Lane seat of learning has remained Outstanding, from its previous inspection in 2011.

Ofsted said: “The overall effectiveness of the school remains outstanding.

“This is an inclusive and caring school…the school is an exciting, engaging and outward-looking place for staff and pupils.”

The report also states: “Pupils have every opportunity to achieve as well as they are able and have high aspirations about their own capabilities.”

Inspectors praised the ‘culture of high expectations’ and ‘the outstanding nature of teaching and learning.’

They also noted that “behaviour around the school is calm, purposeful and relaxed…pupils demonstrate high levels of self-discipline.” and “Pupils feel very safe”.

Headteacher Lee Gray said: “Inspectors met with myself, the senior leadership team, the governors, pupils, support staff and pastoral staff.

“We are delighted that the hard work and dedication of staff and pupils, along with contributions from parents and the wider community has resulted in another Outstanding Ofsted rating.

“The feedback from the inspection is incredibly positive and really captures the breadth of the ‘pupil experience’ at Studley High.”
