A CAKE designer from Redditch has been named the best in all of Worcestershire.
Jo Morris, who lives in Church Hill, scooped the Three Counties Wedding Award for her wedding cake designs created with her own business, Cupcake Corner.
Jo, who set up Cupcake Corner three years ago, had never entered or been nominated for a competition before.
“It was a wonderful surprise to find that I had won the county award,” said Jo.
“As a cake designer, I take on board my clients’ ideas and preference and take inspiration from all aspects of the wedding – from the invites to the detailing on the wedding dress – to help create dream wedding cakes, tier by tier. It means a lot to me to get things right.
“I’m very proud of myself really – it’s a great accolade to have been nominated and judged by people who I have made cakes for.”
Self-taught baker Jo covers venues the West Midlands and her designs are so popular she is already fully booked for 2017.
“I can’t believe I’m already booked up for the year – creating perfect and personalised cakes is a real passion of mine and to be able to share it is a pleasure.
“I am delighted to have been given this award and am looking forward to the award ceremony later in the year,” she added.
A spokesperson for the Three Counties Wedding Awards said: “These awards recognise the achievements of wedding suppliers who go that extra mile for their clients. They act as a benchmark for quality, good service, commitment and value for money.”
