ONE of the country’s top trumpeters Digby Fairweather and his band will perform at Beoley Jazz Club on Wednesday, July 25.
The event starts at 7.45pm at Beoley Village Hall and, accompanying him on the day, will be Keith Bill on piano, Tom Hill on double bass and Malcolm Garrett on drums.
Digby, Patron of the Birmingham, Solihull and Sandwell Jazz Festival, is known for his distinctively melodic trumpet style and as a jazz writer, broadcaster and archivist.
Beoley Jazz Club organiser, Paul Leyser, said: “We endeavour to bring some of the top jazz players from this country and, occasionally, from overseas to Beoley.
“It is an absolute privilege and pleasure to have Digby’s Quartet playing here for the first time.
“If you like good foot-tapping music then we hope to see you next week.”
Tickets cost £9. Visit www.beoley.org.uk for more information.
