CHURCH HILL Big Local Partnership have made up for their cancelled Easter egg hunt by delivering hundreds of the chocolate goodies across the area.
“Covid put paid for the popular hunt and plans for the Easter Bunny to tour Church Hill again this year, but because he is only young, he has not had his vaccination yet and we must make sure that he stays fit, healthy, and safe,” said the partnership’s Ian Johnson.
“However, all was not lost.
“We decided to donate a Easter Egg to every pupil at Moon’s Moat First School, Abbeywood First School RSA Academy and Squirrels Nursery.
“Having asked Morrisons, Bev Allington, their Community Champion, helped us by providing 700 Easter eggs, at a discounted rate and donated 50 Easter eggs as well!”
These were delivered in plenty of time to allow for quarantine so they could be given out to the children on the last day of term in time for Easter.
Sarah Crane from Moon’s Moat First School said: “The children were delighted to receive a delivery of Easter eggs kindly donated by Churchill Big Local. Thank you!”
