PUSH The Boat Out and come sailing at Redditch Sailing Club – for free – this Sunday, May 12.
Redditch Sailing Club at Arrow Valley Lake is backing the Royal Yachting Association’s (RYA) campaign to get more people afloat.
And this Sunday, from 2pm to 5pm, the boats will be rigged and ready with experienced instructors at the helm to take visitors out for a sail around Arrow Valley Lake.
Getting active outdoors is proven to positively impact physical and mental health and getting on the water is something all the family can benefit from, says the RYA.
It’s also an opportunity to try a new challenge and the achievement of learning a new skill.
And with Redditch Sailing Club right in the heart of Arrow Valley Park it’s easily accessible for all whether walking, cycling or driving there.
The afternoon’s sailing is free too and all safety equipment like lifejackets will be provided by the club. Just bring a pair of old trainers you don’t mind getting wet and a sense of fun.
And if you’re bitten by the bug the club runs a series courses backed by its team of top instructors who can teach you how to become skipper of your own boat.
