TUDOR Grange Academy in Redditch has received a glowing report as part of its assessment to become an Inclusion Quality Mark school.
Inclusion Quality Mark provides schools with a nationally recognised framework to guide their inclusion journey.
The IQM report opens by referencing the positive culture of the school and the dedication and drive of the staff to make a positive difference.
Assessor Tracy Cockayne frequently refers to the school’s ethos: morality, integrity and honesty, saying: “Every decision made at Tudor Grange Academy is child centric, meticulously planned and executed for the pupils, with the benefit to the stakeholders simply being advantageous.”
The also report refers to the ‘significant progress’ since its last Ofsted inspection, adding that the school was ‘securely on their journey to good’.
The report particularly highlights the dedication and drive of the staff with teaching and learning at the heart of its agenda.
It says: “The leadership team have committed to ensuring all pupils receive a holistic education and should be at the centre of everything they do.
“Their core purpose is to raise their aspirations and ensure that all students have the best educational experience possible.”
It also praised the high expectations of behaviour and standards at the school and the emphasis on pastoral care and close links to parents.
Ms Cockayne concludes: “Three words were used consistently to describe the ethos of the school: morality, integrity and honesty. Every decision made at Tudor Grange Academy is child centric, meticulously planned and executed for the pupils, with the benefit to the stakeholders simply being advantageous.”
She then suggests the school should apply for ‘Centre of Excellence’ status.
The school’s principal, Jodie Bolter, said: “I am absolutely delighted with our report. It truly shows the progress we have made over the last couple of years and is a true reflection of our community.
“I am so proud of our inclusive school and every day we go from strength to strength.
“The report highlights our staff and their dedication to make a positive difference and I can not thank them enough for everything they do.”
