CALLING all young musicians – the Alcester Singers annual Young Musician Competition takes place on the evening of Friday, November 20.
Instrumentalists and singers aged between 11 and 18 are invited to compete for a prize of £150 in the competition which has been organised by this local choir for over 20 years.
Anyone in this age group who lives within 10 miles of Alcester – including Redditch and the surrounding villages, and is Grade 5 or above in their chosen instrument – is welcome to apply to take part.
Places are limited and the closing date for applications is November 9. Application forms and more details about the competition can be found on the choir’s website www.alcestersingers.co.uk .
Winners are also invited to perform at one of the Alcester Singers concerts in 2016.
