Tune up for a summer of song with Redditch's Arrow Vale Singers

Redditch Editorial 6th Jul, 2017   0
UNDER the leadership of new musical director, Jack Brookes, Arrow Vale Singers is inviting anyone with a love of singing to come along and join them.
Members enjoy a diverse range of musical styles, including West End, pop and traditional choral pieces, producing an exciting programme of concerts for autumn and Christmas.
A choir spokesman said: “Summer is traditionally a season when people have more time available, especially with the long light nights and holidays from work.
“We are hosting a number of ‘Come And Sing!’ rehearsals during July specifically aimed at introducing potential new members to the joys of singing in a choir.
“We would love to welcome both ladies and men, of all ages and abilities, to come along to our sociable rehearsals and enjoy learning a new skill and make new friends.
“You don’t have to be able to read music or have any prior experience, and there are no auditions.
“If you can sing and enjoy meeting like-minded people (and eating cake), you will fit right in.”
The choir meets at Batchley Community Centre every Wednesday evening from 8pm to 10pm, and is particularly keen to welcome men to swell the tenor and bass ranks, and younger voices aged from 20 to 50.
