Two arrested after cannabis find during Redditch Police raid

TWO MEN were arrested on Thursday morning after a raid in Redditch uncovered a cannabis farm.

In all 220 plants were seized at the address in Abbeydale.

The two men, aged 41 and 24, were arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis and remained in police custody as the Standard went to press.

Police Sgt David Roberts said: “Cannabis farms such as the one discovered in Abbeydale are often linked to serious and organised crime gangs.

“Their illegal activity can have negative impacts on our communities and is something we will not tolerate.”
