WINDOWS have been smashed in a quiet Redditch residential close in an incident in the early hours of Saturday morning, July 11.
The disturbance happened at around 3.30am in Bentley Close, home to many senior citizens situated off Plymouth Road.
One resident, one of two who needed treatment to his chest for cuts caused by flying broken glass, said he’d been woken by the noise and had gone to investigate.
In all it is believed 12 windows were smashed in five different properties.
The police were called and a man was eventually caught by the son of one of the residents and handed over to the local beat officers.
A police spokesperson said: “A man in his 20s from Redditch was arrested at around 4.30am on suspicion of criminal damage and assault after officers were called when a number of windows were reportedly broken at a property in Bentley Close, Redditch.
“A number of victims also received injuries from broken glass and debris.
“The suspect is currently on police bail and the investigation is ongoing.”
