Two men arrested on suspicion of drug dealing in Redditch

TWO men have been arrested in Redditch town centre on suspicion of drug dealing.

The men, both aged 19, were stopped by officers from Redditch Safer Neighbourhood Team in the Kingfisher Centre following intelligence around suspected dealing in the area.

Police found quantities of suspected class A drugs, a suspected class B drug – cannabis, and a hunting type knife on them which were seized.

The men were arrested on suspicion of the following possession with intent to supply class A drugs including cocaine and heroin.

Possession of a class B drug –  cannabis, and possession of a bladed article in a public place.

They have been taken into custody where they are helping officers with enquiries, and an investigation has been launched.




Constable Mike Moore of Redditch SNT said: “Following intelligence received, this afternoon we located and then arrested two men who were suspected of drug dealing in the town centre.

“They were found with quantities of drugs and a hunting type knife on them which have now been seized as part of our investigation.


“We will not tolerate anyone coming into our town and attempting to sell illegal drugs and will always act swiftly to apprehend them as we did today.”
