AN UNEXPLODED Second World War grenade was found in Hopwood over the weekend.
The device – discovered by a member of the public on land near Lea End Lane – was brought to the attention of Bromsgrove Police on Saturday.
A controlled explosion was carried out under the watchful eyes of an army Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) specialist.

The canal road bridge and the canal itself were closed due to the discovery of the object.
