THE MAN charged in relation to the knife crime incident in Redditch on Wednesday morning has been committed to crown court.
Damien Day, 34 of Salters Lane, Redditch has been remanded in custody and will appear at Worcester Crown Court on April 24.
He has been charged with possession of a knife, breaching a criminal behaviour order and possession of cannabis.
Police were called to reports of a person threatening people with a knife on Tanhouse Lane, Redditch about 8.10am on Wednesday.
Police thanked the public for their patience while the incident was dealt with and reassured people there was no wider threat to the community.
Patrols were also stepped up in the area to provide further reassurance.
