REDDITCH Walking Cricket Group came a worthy second place at the Foundation Tournament.
The team Waseem Asgar, Francis Corda, Phil Mould, Rob Rowberry, Aaron Randall, Keith Hambleton, Roger Duggan and captain Tim Craig competed for the trophy.
They finished equal first place but were relegated to runners up because the team had a lower run rate than University of Worcester which was declared winners.
Rob Rowberry said: “The tournament as a whole was a great treat for all concerned.
“Worcester Cricket Club and their coaching staff have been absolutely brilliant in helping and guiding us to the position we find ourselves at now.
“We look forward to more tournaments in 2025 – the highlight being another tournament at Lords Indoor Cricket School in London.”
