A MUCH-NEEDED service dedicated to helping those unable to drive or use public transport is urgently seeking volunteer drivers from Redditch to joint heir team.
The Royal Voluntary Service is urgently looking for Community Transport volunteers to help older people get out and about to stay engaged with their local communities.
Offering a door-to-door service for people who are stuck at home and unable to get out and about by themselves, volunteer drivers can provide a vital lifeline and link to the outside world, assisting with anything from hospital appointments and visits to the doctors to shopping trips and day centres.
Becoming a volunteer driver is a good opportunity to make new friends, be part of a team and experience and contribute to the work of the charity by enriching the lives of older people.
Anyone interested in giving some time as a volunteer driver can call Service Manager Ceilia Arthur on 01527 879296 or visit http://bit.ly/2mVqx5P to find out more.
