NEW Walking Cricket sessions will be launching in Redditch next month.
Sessions run every Monday from 6pm to 7pm at the Terry Memorial Fields, starting Monday, May 5.
Walking Cricket is a slower version of the game, but still includes a lot of benefits including improving heart health, strength and endurance and boosting mental health and well-being.
Redditch Borough Council Sports Development Officer, Hayley Gwilliam, said: “Cricket is a sport loved by many people, but it can require a high level of fitness to keep up with the running whilst fielding.
“Walking Cricket eliminates that with its unique set of rules, meaning that anyone can play even if you aren’t as mobile as you used to be.”
