DRIVERS in Redditch are being urged to be on their guard after reports of vehicle door handles being tried overnight.
The attempts to gain access to cars were made in Keele Close.
Following the revelation, the police have issued advice for motorists to ensure they avoid becoming easy targets for thieves.
Among the tips are not to leave valuables in plain sight or remove all valuables from cars and vans, make sure cars and vans are locked (double check), park vehicles in well-lit high traffic areas and not near large bushes which block visibility.
Modern vehicle security, such as alarms, GPS tracking devices or motion dash cams can also be used.
Witnesses or anyone with information on the Keele Close incidents or anyone with CCTV or doorbell footage of the road should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
