Watch: Video on how to create the perfect protective dog den

Redditch Editorial 12th Oct, 2017

AS the fireworks explode outside, a dog den could be the perfect way to protect your pooch from the noise this November.

Dogs Trust Evesham is advising dog owners to make their pets feel safe ahead of Guy Fawkes Night by building a ‘doggy den’ in their homes.

They suggest using an indoor dog crate or chairs covered in blankets to create the safe space – using blankets over the top will help muffle the bangs.

Fill the den with blankets, pillows and a few familiar items that smell of your dog to make it comfortable.

Add some of their favourite toys and keep a radio or the TV playing as this will help to mask the sound.

Dogs Trust has created a video demonstrating the doggy den, at http://bit.ly/2gdXJTW
