THE Mayor of Redditch, Councillor Jenny Wheeler, has unveiled a picture by Redditch psychedelic artist Steve Pound for the new ‘Wildlife’ exhibition in the Bertie Crewe Gallery of the Palace Theatre.

The painting, ‘Hail for the Snail’ shows snails and other images morphing in vivid colour.

Speaking of the painting, exhibition organiser Malcolm Hall, chairman of Arts in Redditch said: “Steve’s paintings are always a little bit different and add a splash of colour and variety to our exhibions, we like to have him included.”

The new exhibition has just opened and features lots of work by local artists.

All pictures are available for purchase and can be collected at the end of the exhibition in August.
