A REDDITCH nursery has been celebrating turning ten with a party and special cake.
Bumps, Babes and Toddlers at St Philip’s, Webheath, was set up a decade ago by at the back of church by a group of volunteers.
Since then the nursery has gone from strength to strength and the birthday celebration was attended by a dedicated group of mothers, grandmothers, child-minders, and foster parents.
Jill Allbut is among the church members who help with the group. She said: “We started after a simple enquiry from a young mum at our Advent Fayre at the end of 2012 as to whether we had a baby group.
“At the start of 2013 we had gathered a few volunteers, begged and borrowed toys, organised cups of tea and coffee, re-arranged the church’s chairs and St Philip’s BBT was launched.
“It was lovely to celebrate 10 years with cakes and balloons in our new community centre – many thanks to all those who have supported us over the years.”
