THE car may been the star but it was the lights everyone was focusing on when a Ford GT supercar visited Bee Lighting in Redditch last Friday.
The company designed and now manufactures and supplies all of the lighting for the speed machine, one of the most technologically advanced vehicles in the world and winner of Le Mans 24 hour in 2016.
There are only a handful of these cars in the UK and only about 300 (so far) worldwide with just 1,300 being made in total.
Colin Fulford, operations director arranged for one of the head turning cars to visit the Merse Road factory so employees could see the machine they build and supply parts for, and invited local MP Rachel Maclean along too.
“We are obviously really proud to be associated with such a special car and are proud to be supplying the parts from our factory in Redditch – we were the only lighting company in the world able to design and manufacture the lighting for this car,” said Colin.
“I thought this would be a great opportunity for Rachel to come and see the car. It really is a unique opportunity and one we probably won’t get again.”
