IT’S been a tough job but we have finally managed to arrive at the finalists in our Baby of the Year competition in the 0 to 18 months category.
We had literally thousands of votes cast with the top ten as chosen by you the public making for a very close competition indeed.
Just like in the local elections the count was very close indeed, but also clear cut with ten emerging as the leading candidates.
The second group of ten as chosen by our panel of independent judges proved extremely difficult as all the babies looked beautiful.
After much arguing they too finally agreed on ten to go through.
From the final 20 judges will choose one winner and a runner up.
First prize is a large canvas portrait of the winning child plus a special gift, together worth £200, while second prize will also be a canvas portrait of the baby worth £100 plus a special gift.
The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Next week look out for the winners in the 19 months to three years category.
