Winners of Redditch MP's Card For The King Competition crowned

REDDITCH MP Rachel Maclean has crowned the winners of her Card For The King Competition.

Earlier this year, Mrs Maclean launched a competition to find a design for a card which will be sent to His Majesty The King to mark his Coronation.

Hundreds of entries were received from four to 13-year-olds from across the constituency.

After whittling down the entries, Mrs Maclean has chosen the designs drawn by Maisie Donoghue, aged 10, and Teddy Bowen-Pugh, aged five.

Teddy’s design will feature on the front of the card, while Maisie’s design will be printed on the back.

The card will now be sent to Buckingham Palace ahead of His Majesty’s Coronation on Saturday, May 6.

Mrs Maclean said: “Thank you to everyone who took the time to design and draw entries. They were all fit for a King!

“Having received hundreds of entries it was incredibly hard to choose just one winner, so I chose two instead!

“Congratulations to Maisie and Teddy. Their designs will now feature on the card which will be sent to

His Majesty The King on behalf of everyone in Redditch and the Villages to congratulate The King on his Coronation.”
