MEMBERS of a Winyates dance school brought a blast of energy to weary shoppers in the town’s Kingfisher Centre on Saturday (February 13).

Dancers from Emma Charlotte’s Dance Academy made the centre their stage, with 30 dancers, some as young as two-and-a-half, perform a variety of genres such as ballet, freestyle, street and contemporary.

The performances, eight in total, were part of the centre’s ‘Health and Wellbeing Week’ to promote fitness in Redditch and advertise classes throughout the borough which offer a fun and interesting way to stay fit and healthy.

Emma Aston, principal of Emma Charlotte’s Dance Academy, said: “I am so proud with what my pupils have achieved.

“Each group of dancers performed their routine with passion and enthusiasm showing everyone in Redditch their love for dance.”
