WINYATES Green Residents Association has launched an appeal to raise enough money to have a defibrillator installed at the local community centre.
It’s being driven by resident and WGRA secretary John Crumpton who has already received wide backing from a range of community groups including Mappleborough Green Pre-School, the local allotments association and the Londis shop on Furze Lane.
Julie Mackintosh, chair of WGRA, said: “With so many enthusiastic people joining together for such a worthy cause, we are sure this will be a true legacy for all involved including all living and visiting Winyates Green.”
Rob Underwood, of Charlotte and Craig’s Saving Hearts Foundation, will be the guest speaker at the WGRA meeting at the Furze Lane Community Rooms next Wednesday (June 26) at 7.30pm which will feature a raffle to further boost the cause.
To make a donation email John on [email protected].
Cheques should be made payable to WGRA.
