BRITISH Transport Police (BTP) were called to an incident at Redditch Railway Station this morning after a woman climbed down on to the railway track.

Standing in front of the 9.20am train, which was stationary at the time, she shouted ‘Come on and hit me’ while commuters looked on in amazement before British Transport Police arrived.

One eyewitness said: “I saw her get down on the track and stand in front of the train. She was quickly surrounded by staff until police arrived.”

A spokesperson for British Transport Police said an ambulance also attended the scene.
