A WOMAN who was walking in a Redditch park was sexually assaulted in broad daylight.

On October 10, a woman in her 30s was walking in Arrow Valley Park at around 1.30pm when she was approached by a man, who was behind her.

The man is reported to have touched her inappropriately under her clothing before walking off towards the underpass, which leads onto the Winyates area.

The man is white, around 5ft 7in tall, of skinny build, with scraggly grey hair down to his chin. He was believed to be wearing blue denim jeans at the time and smelled of alcohol and cigarettes.

“We are appealing for anyone who saw the incident or witnessed anyone acting suspiciously in the area at the time to come forward.

“Enquiries are ongoing but any information, no matter how small, could be significant to our investigation.”

Anyone with information should call West Mercia Police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111 quoting incident number 323S of 18 October.
