TWO WOMEN have been robbed while out walking near Redditch town centre, in Smallwood.

The victims, who were accompanied by another woman, were making their way own Ipsley Street towards the Warwick Arms at about 10.15pm on Saturday (April 23) when they crossed over the road by Oswald Street and noticed a man behind them, who they thought was following them.

The man, who had his face covered, approached the women and it is thought he was carrying a knife.

He did not say anything to the victims but the women were frightened and ran away, dropping their belongings in the process.

The offender was then seen picking the fallen items up off the floor and walking off towards the Trafford Retail Park.

He is described as white, about 25, with fair hair and was wearing a cream hooded top.

Anyone with any information about the incident is urged to call police on 101, or by calling Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
