A WOMEN’S touch rugby team recently battled its way to the peak of Snowdon in memory of two former players who tragically lost their lives.
Woodrush Rugby Club was devastated when their players Harvey Morris, aged 17, and Jack Connolly, 31, both died within the space of 19 months.
Harvey had a heart condition from a young age and Jack was killed in a car crash while on holiday abroad.

The club’s women’s team, Woodrush Wolverines, raised £500 while on the sponsored trek which will go to the British Heart Foundation and Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
Team captain Kristine Smart, 32, said: “Harvey’s family are trying to raise £10,000 to fund defibrillators in the local area.
“Nineteen current and former Woodrush Wolverine players did the trek which took us six hours altogether.
“It was hard work, especially as we entered the final two hours.

“But it was a brilliant team building excersise as we had to motivate each other all the way.
“Thank you to everyone that supported the event and for helping raise money for such a fantastic cause.”
Woodrush Wolverines, who train twice a week on Wednesdays and Thursdays, are planning future team building events in the future.
