WORK to reinstate the overgrown footpath on Bomford Hill in Church Hill is set to go ahead.
The pathway disappeared some years ago but now Church Hill Big Local Partnership and Redditch Borough Council can finally go ahead with putting it back again.
“It’s taken several years of hard work and planning, but we are delighted to announce that we now have the go-ahead to reinstate the pathways at Bomford Hill,” said Stephen Betteridge Co-Chair of Church Hill Big Local Partnership.
“We have worked in partnership with Redditch Borough Council and their officers and thank them for the help.
“We would also like to thank local Councillors Mike Rouse and Council Leader Coun Matt Dormer for their invaluable assistance.
“Work is due to start on Monday, June 28, and will take around three weeks.”
Bomford Hill is the site of the local peace memorial and the path will enable people to easily access it, particularly in winter when the weather is bad.
“The contractors will access the site from Redstone Close,” said Stephen.
“We’ve asked them to be considerate and avoid creating inconvenience for residents around the site as far as possible, although there may be some disruption as they transport materials and equipment onto site.”
“If you experience any issues during the works, please call 07577 475331 and we will do our best to address this promptly with the contractors,” said co-chair Hayley Price.
“If you have any comments or questions about this work, please complete this survey: www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/BomfordHill .”
