LAST week Wythall Parish council opened a new walking route in honour of a former councillor.
The Footman Way is a specially designed 5.5 mile circular walk that starts and ends in Wythall Park.
The route commemorates Coun Ken Footman who served the community of Wythall for forty years as a Parish Councillor and who sadly passed away on 17th December 2020.
The opening involved the unveiling of an interpretation board in Wythall Park and an inaugural walk by members of Ken’s family, Councillors and footpath volunteers.
The route is available for anyone who would like to walk it.
