REDDITCH has been ‘yarn-bombed’ during Dementia Awareness Week to raise awareness of the condition.
The Redditch and Bromsgrove Dementia Friendly Community decided to brighten up the town centre to make people stop and think about those suffering the condition.
The group focuses on raising awareness of dementia along with the care and help available. It works with organisations to support those living with dementia.
Volunteer Helen Mole said: “This disease is cruel to the patient and their friends and family.
“But there is help out there and we want people to know that. We hope the yarn-bombing has raised our profile and we can continue to help residents.”
The group is always looking for volunteers – simply email [email protected] for more information or for the care and help available.
