Youngster braves the chop after family members lose their own hair

Redditch Editorial 12th Dec, 2019   0

A YOUNGSTER decided to brave the chop this week after seeing members of her family lose their hair through chemotherapy.

While growing up, Belle Wainwright, aged 10, has watched her mum Louise, her aunt Kerry and her grandmother Wendy fall sick to cancer.

To show unity within the family, the Webheath Academy Primary School pupil decided to donate 12 inches of her luscious locks to charity Little Princess Trust.

It will be used to make a wig for children who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment, helping to restore their confidence and identity.

After: Belle’s hair following the cut.

Mum Louise said: “Belle really wanted to do something to help children who are going through this awful illness.

“She has also raised more than £555 for Little Princess Trust, we are so proud of her.

“I want to say a big thank you to Laura Harris who cut Belle’s hair at Hacienda.”

You can still donate to the Little Princess Trust by visiting Belle’s Just Giving page www.justgiving.com/fundraising/belle-wainwright10
